OK. I know it's been a long time since I rapped at ya, but I'm just going to jump right in. I wish I could have more control over the design of the objects that come into my house. I realize that I really have no control over this, but I do have a choice about a lot of things (like toys) that enter my house, and thus my constant sightline, but some things are just necessary, yet so ugly.
This might become a running series, so I'm just going to start with one that really, really irritates me: California Baby. I love their products, but I cringe every time I purchase any of them. For $15 I think I should be getting awesome sunblock in an awesome package. Not a spooky sun trying to hypnotize me from underneath a font that came pre-installed on my Mac Powerbook 165c (the "c" stood for "color"). I don't want to sound mean, but is the design guy for California Baby someone's nephew? Or, more likely, great uncle?
